All I have to say is - one BRILLIANT piece of writing - THIS is how the last 2 books of the HP series should have been like - true to the characters development, VERY deep plot and ties to everything that's happened, and finally some subtle romance (which you dont come across often in fan fiction which I adore!) that is slowly developing here. Beautiful and PLEASE continue.

i fell in love with this story since the first day it came out, and i\'m so glad that it\'s being reposted. its definitely not a shipper centric story, but i think thats what makes it more engaging. the romances are only one part of the extremely intricate puzzle that the author conjures up for us, and i remember anxiously awaiting for each new update. my heart, prayers and thanks go out to the author for his amazing story telling abilities. you are an incredible writer and thank you for sharing your stories with us. it was an incredible ride.

I first started reading this story over at Fanfiction.net one version that got pulled and a more elabourate version put up then it dissappeared from ff and then after a good amount of time it turned up on an own home page and at a Yahoo page I think then I found it also at Portkey, and at Fanfic Authors where I've been following this story that I think is the best fanfic I've seen. So I feel it belongs on Portkey although the pairing is slow.

Be warned that this story's "exceptionally good, but it's not your standard H/Hr fanfic!!! In fact, large parts [of it hardly]… mention Hermione," as PK admin Thieving Magpie had put it. There's also some Harry/orig character pairing at some point which Mike has described as "Harry's summer distraction." PK-er Renata warns: "I don't want to spoil much, but I will say that, about half-way through the fic, things are anything but settled, and if you're really really obsessive about your 'ships, you may have some issues. BUT ships really aren't the point of this fic. … it's really about Harry growing up. The way he deals with his relationships with the opposite sex is very real, and very entertaining. The characterization is some of the best I've seen, especially for the minor and original characters".

If these info disappoint you, then kindly turn to another story instead. Many PK-ers, including Adam (another PK admin) and trusted members Psy_Girl / Psy_Ann, Bexis, brad / madderbrad and many more have sung the praises to this story and they've considered it to be "an H/Hr fic" in spirit. Its H/Hr interaction was given sufficient page time. Perivayne, another asset to Portkey, had even betaed this and done the PK uploads the first time around.

On a side-note, Mike's health issues prevent him from finishing this tale, but he asked his nephew AMP to upload the drafts he's written for the ending chapters. Lastly, bear in mind that this fanfic was started way before Books 6 and 7 and therefore ignores both books.

As everyone else has said, this story belongs on Portkey; I'd hate to think of the HP fans who would otherwise miss out on the excellent H/Hr relationship that's (slowly!) built up in this epic tale, as well as the brilliant story overall.

I'm normally reluctant to re-read a story which I know isn't complete - such a horrible feeling to end abruptly in mid-stream! - but there are any number of relatively self-contained events and climaxes in this story to make 'Years of Rebellion' an exception. Some of its chapters really have moved me like no other fanfic I've ever come across.

AMP has been doing a wonderful job in uploading Mike's drafts and notes, which will give us even more closure too.

Definitely one of the most magnificent fanfic story I have read over the past six years.

I had lost track of it when full_pensieve suffered his healths problems and I can't wait to see it published again ... even if it's never finished.

This story belongs on Portkey. It's H/Hr, although Mike takes at least as long to put them together as I did. Wonderful story. It influenced my own work more than any other fic.
