before i read the question, or even the chapter . . . .. as you may or may not have read, i agree with you completely on the supject of the sixth book, and from my limited knowledge, the seventh also.

and yes, i will most likely be reviewing -every- -single- chapter, since i\'m an insomniac sitting here reading a good story that has good, answer-worthy questions at the bottom of each chapter while eating a 3 am snack . . . .

now i really should read the chapter
...
as a side note, how in the name of hell did hermione not recognise the name flamel and remember the story right away? hell, i knew that old yarn when i was five, and i got locked away in a crib the first four years of life? if she was half as smart as jkr made her out to be, she\'d have known it. answer: she\'s of average intelligence but loves learning, and thus makes full use of what intelligence she has.
and no, that\'s not boasting. i did know the story then, and i\'ve got the dated journal entry to prove it. and i have above average but not anywhere near genius level intelligence. depending on who you talk to. some say i am a genius.

and i\'ll stop babbling now, and go get what little sleep i can. probably read the rest of your story tomorrow.

hehe, forgot i have to finish the chapter.

like the chapter . . . but there was no question. . . . oh well . . . .

why? so that harry would actually have it . . . .
i go by the theory that the potters, being an old pureblod family and being able to keepsuch an expensive item as an invisibility cloak shows that they hung on to their wealth . . . . they would have had more than the one vault. and i also go by the theory that dumbledore would have kept that from harry, as well as keep him from thinking that anything was salvaged from the house . . .

how? took it from aforementioned other vault, took it from the potter's residence, took it from sirius black's belongings after he was arrested . . . who knows? not even jkr, since she admits to making most of it up as she goes . . .

i would take my daughter and . . . . well, i live in aus, but by your theory i'm a brit, so i'd move to aus. tassie, to be precise. i'd set up my dentistry practice in one of those mountain villages. and encourage my daughter to learn martial arts, but i'd be doing that anyway.

in answer to your question:
a) he already had the death of cedric as a reference point, and covering up his grief over sirius was easier because he was already covering up how he was feeling about cedrics death - i really don't see harry getting over a death in one year . . . .
and b), rowling did a shoddier job than usual on books six and seven. seriously, they were both dragged from that place the sun doesn't shine . . . . . and she wasn't as great an author as people seem to think to begin with anyway.

loving your version, by the way. what i find amusing is that most of the fanfic authors out there that actually know how to write, do a better job of it than jkr . . . . all she had was a decent idea and a cult following of idiots . . . .

sorry for that rant . . . .

I really liked it, definitely more enjoyable than the original. While it had it's moments, I really hated the fact that Harry seemed so damn dumb in the books. I like seeing an intelligent Harry and Sirius being freed. I wonder how Ron is making out that his rat disappeared. Not that I really care what Ron thinks, the git. Great Story!

Yeah, I always wondered about it too, course DH answered that question, but before then it always confused me. I also wondered why the hell Harry never saw the Thestrals till after Cedric died, since he obviously saw his parents die, his mother definitely. Never made any damn sense. Great so far!

I've always been wondering what would happen to Harry if he had managed to answer Snape's questions correctly, and truth be told, that's what I expected. I love this story so far, makes for much more interesting reading.

Nice ending. At least now Sirius will be able to get out of the house when he wants to,

Nice chap. I really liked it, and with the bonus of Pettigrew being captured too!

Nice chap. As for your question, I think James gave it to him for safe-keeping, knowing it might be useful to the Order.

A) let her keep going to Hogwarts. There would be no warrant that another magical school is less dangerous, and keep her from her world would be cruel.

As for the chap, I liked it. a Bit short, maybe.

I think when Cedric died, Harry knew the boy was completely innocent, a civil you would say, while Sirius...well, Sirius was part of the Order, had fought in the first war...it's like he was a soldier, and his death, as painful as it may have been for Harry, could be expected.

Plus, we don't really know he was alright. For all we know, Sirius' death may have been what had him go mad and fancy Ginny instead of Hermione...

So no saving Hermione from the troll this time? Well, I hope she starts to be less shy soon.

Well, I'm not sure there was need for this "chapter", but it is interesting nonetheless.

Well, I guess if Dumbledore doesn't see it fit to remove Snape from his position, the other heads of houses can do little against his unfairness, and that may be why no one asked them help on the matter.

On a side note, I'm not sure i like Hermione's subduedness (if that's a word, but I'm sure you got my meaning). She's too withdrawn into herself, she should spoke more openly about her opinions.
