I can't read the epilogue yet as I've to go, but I really enjoyed this. The wedding scene as priceless, and my favourite part was when the ribbon didnt work, Ron saw Hermione glance at harry, and Ron turned around with a "You Bastard" that was PRICELESS! Straight out of a soap or film; it was brilliant. I could just imagine myself sitting at that wedding, being stunned speechless that it was the OTHER best friend. xP
Strangely, I did like Ginny's involvement toward the end, though I would've liked her to be paired off, but it doesn't really matter. The end piece with Ginny was great, especially her question
I think the conversation between Ron and Harry at the start of this chapter was VERY well written and very true to character. It was exactly how I would expect Ron and Harry to act in those circumstances... it was very, very well written.
The plot was interesting, and it was certainly a new take on the marriage law.
The only flaw I find is the baby... Not that I don't love babies or anything, but it's just so terribly cliche, you know? But, nevertheless, I enjoyed it.
My favourite parts of this fic would definitely be the wedding scene I mentioned and the conversation between Ron and Harry at the start of this chapter; both very well written scenes, as I've said. In fact, I highly enjoyed all of the wedding scene!

Hi! Loving the story so far, but I just want to ask/say/point out something.
Ginny has recently become Harry's confidant, whereas that was Hermione's original place and their closeness in that aspect among others is one of the reasons so many support the ship. But, here, there is a reversal in roles as Harry tells GINNY about the secret parchment and what they can do.
Also: “I've got to talk to Ginny!” he shouted, and was gone, the portrait hole closing with a snap behind him. Hermione's face was a mask of hurt and confusion.
“Ginny?” she said aloud to the empty common room.
-- Very well done, and I was thinking the same. Hermione's probably wondering if she's been replaced??

Anyway, great story so far, and I cannot wait to read the rest! Very well written and weaved together.

I'm conflicted about this story. As I've commented on some of your other stories, you write very well, so from that respect I am very happy and thankful to read whatever you put up for our enjoyment; it's hard to find good fanfiction authors who are so talented. I'm not sure whether or not I liked this story though. I was definately not happy with the marriage law, and the injustice and irrationality that it imposed as well as the way that it seemed to reduce the sacred bond of marriage to merely procreation. So, while reading, I found myself getting rather angry. However, isn't this what a good story is supposed to do? You're characters and plot provoked an emotional response in me to such a degree that I found myself wondering if I could take it any more. Thankfully, you let us know that it would all work out in the end.

So, ultimately, I'm happy to have read this. I think that it deserves recognition as a well writen story, even if it tends to provoke more righteous anger than happiness or tragic empathy. Well done. Thanks for writing, I hope you continue to write more for us!

I just finished reading your wonderful story. No, I didn't review every chapter. I was too excited to get to the next chapter. The story was complete by the time I started reading. I have read some of your other stories and enjoyed all of them, but this is by far one of my favorites. The one major thing that I find very nice in all your stories is the fact that your spelling, grammar and punctuation are wonderful. To me, that is very important. Your plots and story development are also good. But most of all the fact that you seem to love Harry and Hermione as much as I do is the reason that I read your fics. Now I am off to read Resistance. Great work.

Goodness, it sure took Ron long enough to send the letter!! He should have done it right away. Not that we want Hermione with him, but he is better than the ferret.

What a Stupid Law, but it makes for a good story line!!

Ah, good; Ron's proposing. Sort of obvious, even I could see that as a solution, much better than Hermione marrying the ferret anyway!

Just reading this story now, but shucks, the solution's obvious, isn't it? Why hasn't good friend Ron leapt to Hermione's rescue with an offer of marriage?

I know this is a H/Hr story, so R/Hr wasn't to be allowed - permanently - but in this setting I feel it's a bit out of character for Ron not to at least think of the possibility. Or Harry. Or even Hermione.

Maybe that's all covered in the following chapters ...
